A little about me ...
My name is Jean Watson, originally from South Manchester, I moved up to beautiful Northumberland back in 2006 and love both the place and the people.
I was introduced to Reflexology back in the late 1990's whilst going through a difficult period in my own life and it helped me so much that 5 years later I started training as a Reflexologist. I then did an Advanced Reflexology course followed by Swedish Body Massage, No Hands Massage and then on to become a KORE Therapy Consultant and Clinical Acupuncturist. It has been quite a journey and it has been fascinating learning about Traditional East Asian medicine and the meridians and the learning continues.
I am passionate about helping people and love seeing the difference in a client from meeting them for the first time to having a course of treatments and starting to feel better about themselves and their body. Many people have struggled with symptoms and pain for such a long time and go from having almost given up to having hope and being on the road to recovery.
I love learning about the amazing human body and how incredible it is; how it adapts to survive, the mind-body connection and about Traditional East Asian medicine. I love learning and growing as a person, being out in nature and going for walks on the beach and enjoying the beauty of where I live.
Equilibrium
I qualified in Reflexology in 2004, massage the following year and after moving to Wooler in 2006, initially worked with other Complementary Therapists above The Good Life Shop before starting 'Equilibrium' in 2012. It moved from the High Street to my home, to one of the lovely Pod's at the back of The Cheviot Centre in 2016 and now to one of the upstairs rooms inside the Cheviot Centre. There is a lift available if required. I provide a 'safe', natural and healing place, where you can relax, renew and restore your body and return to natural balance and health.
I provided treatments for several years for both Carers Northumberland and also the Multiple Sclerosis Research and Relief Group, working from Berwick Hospital and found this work very gratifying, rewarding and humbling and have met some lovely people.
